You will deliver assets, processes, and workflows that empower storytellers, creatives and artists. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for art quality as well as knowledge of real-time requirements and constraints.

What You’ll Do
• Work with Virtual Production Pipeline Supervisor to convert prototype workflows into robust production-ready solutions
• Develop new features in our production pipeline
• Design and develop tool sets that create an exceptional user experience for scout and review sessions with clients, leveraging core engineering solutions to maximise data tracking and review feedback
• Debug technical issues quickly and promptly, escalating when needed
• Assist with and manage specific tool and technical requests from production supervision and clients
• Create and maintain documentation and tutorials on how to use products and tools
• Observe daily workflows and reviews to identify problems, bottlenecks, and create/propose new tools/solutions
• Analyse and enhance existing tools, and support the artists and designers using them
• Work is done mostly in C++, but Python is a requirement 3rd party app integration (Maya, Photoshop, Substance, etc.), build systems, and reporting.
• Follow best practices, development processes, and coding standards
• Create and implement well-engineered, reliable, maintainable, and bug-free code
• Ability to work under tight time constraints and deadlines
• Able to own large engine features from start to finish
• Must have a positive and supportive attitude and enjoy working with others

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from industry veterans and recent graduates who can demonstrate the right mix of personality, creative skill, and technical ability with Unreal Engine.

  • Experience working in a previsualisation, virtual art department, virtual production, real time, gaming or motion capture production environment

  • Experience with 3D graphics systems and solid understanding of 3D principles

  • Experience with Unreal Engine including a demonstrated ability to produce high quality visuals

  • Strong comprehension of visual scripting systems like the Unreal Engine’s Blueprint system

  • Understanding of wider Unreal Engine capability including Plugins, UMG, Niagara, and Blueprints

  • Working experience with the Perforce version control system

  • Familiarity with digital content creation packages like Maya, 3DS Max, Houdini, Substance Painter, Blender, etc

  • Familiarity with computer graphics interchange file formats like FBX, USD, MaterialX and Alembic

  • C++

  • Python

  • Experience with Cloud providers and solutions such as AWS

  • Experience with API based data delivery and systems

  • BS or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, with preferably at least 3 years experience developing tools in UE4 or UE5
