MOTION CAPTURE

Motion capture also known as mocap is the process of recording the movement of objects or people.

Within film and game development it means we are recording the actions of actors utilising motion capture tracking technology. We then use this recorded data to animate a digital character model in 2D or 3D animations.

We also include performance capture data such as subtle facial expressions and finger movements. This technology provides us the ability to create results in real-time, helping us to reduce the time we spend on keyframe-based animation.
